Lt. Col. Sanjeev Malik of the Indian Army brought laurels by clinching 5 Gold Medals in Athletics in 42nd World Medical and Health Games in Cartagena, Colombia. This event is one of the famous sports events started in !978.

Lt. Col. Malik  won  medals in the disciplines of 1500 mtr, 800 mtr, Cross country, 3000 mtr & 5000 mtr race.
