In fact, by doing this work, Sonam Parashar not only did humanitarian work and inspired others by saving a human life, also gave a beautiful reason to be proud for the entire Khaki community. The person whose life Sonam saved is Anil Upadhyay, a 62-year-old retired employee.

Sub Inspector Sonam Parashar is posted in Traffic Police in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh. On Monday, Sonam Parashar was near Gola Mandir intersection in Gwalior. The time must have been around 11 in the morning. Anil Upadhyay, who was passing by on foot, suddenly fell down and became unconscious. A crowd gathered around. Only then someone informed Sonam who was nearby. Sonam rushed there and seeing the condition of Anil Upadhyay , fainted and lying on the road, Sonam guessed that he must have had a heart attack. So , without losing time she started giving him CPR ( cardiopulmonary resuscitation ) and also arranged a police vehicle to take him to the hospital .

Anil Upadhyay’s heart beat returned due to CPR. He was immediately taken to the hospital. His life was saved. Now Anil Upadhyay’s condition is better. If there was even a slight delay in giving CPR and taking him to the hospital, anything untoward could have happened. Anil Upadhyay is a retired accountant. His son Amit Upadhyay is a doctor and works at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Coincidentally, Dr. Amit Upadhyay was at home at that time. Dr. Amit said that Sonam Parashar has given new life to his father. The time when he had a minor attack is a precious time and that time Sonam did what any doctor does. His commendable work can never be forgotten.

When the video of this incident went viral, it reached the police officers as well.Gwalior Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amit Sanghi has announced to honor Sonam Parashar posted in the traffic police, describing her work as commendable.
