Police Station Sultanpuri has bagged the trophy of best police station of Delhi Police. Police Station Okhla Industrial Area and Police Station Roop Nagar took the first and second runners up trophies.
The trophies were given by Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai to the police station’s incharge on the occasion of Delhi Police Raising Day celebrations.
Shri Rai also presented medals to 51 police personnel for Gallantry, Distinguished Service, Meritorious Service and Union Home Minister medal for excellence in investigation.
MoS(Home) Nityanand Rai also visited the stall of Police family Welfare Society, which showcased the skilful work and products made by Police families. Ritu Arora, wife of Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora and President of PFWS, briefed him regarding the initiative taken up by PFWS by the name “SMITA” which aims at providing support to the specially-abled children of Delhi Police families with the help of various therapies including Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, and Speech therapy.
