Shruti Arora took charge as SSP Leh, farewell to Nitya PD

Newly appointed SSP Shruti Arora was given guard of honor on arriving at Monday parade at Leh District Police Lines.

Indian Police Service officer Shruti Arora has taken charge of the post of Senior Superintendent of Police (ssp) of Leh district of Ladakh. IPS officer Nitya PD handed over the command of Leh Police to her .IPS Nitya PD, who was the SSP till now, was given farewell in a simple ceremony organised by Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council. Nitya PD has been transferred to her cadre Jammu and Kashmir.

IPS Shruti Arora of the 2018 batch of AGMUT cadre was posted in Leh last year (23 July 2023) as ASP. .

Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council gave a farewell to IPS Nitya PD

As per the tradition of Ladakh, Shruti Arora was welcomed as SSP in a simple ceremony organized by the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council. At the same time LAHDC also gave a ceremonial farewell to Nitya PD , an IPS officer of 2016 batch .  On this occasion, LAHDC Chief Executive Councilor Tashi Gyalson and Leh District Deputy Commissioner (leh DC) Santosh Sukhdeve were specially present. Praising the work of Nitya PD, he mentioned the initiatives and achievements made by her in the district.

On reaching the weekly parade on Monday at Leh District Police Lines, the newly appointed SSP Shruti Arora was given a guard of honour. On this occasion, SSP Shruti addressed the police subordinates and officers and expressed her perspective regarding policing in the district. She also mentioned the responsibilities expected from the officers as per their work.
