Retired IPS officer and social worker Acharya Kishore Kunal passes away

Retired officer of  Indian Police Service Acharya Kishore Kunal died in Patna on Sunday. He was 74 years old. Acharya Kishore Kunal has left behind a legacy of social and religious service. His last rites will be performed on Monday.
Bihar Governor Rajendra V Arlekar and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have expressed condolences on the sudden demise of Acharya Kishore Kunal.
1972 batch IPS officer Acharya Kishore Kunal was the head of the Bihar State Religious Trust Board (BSBRT) and the founding secretary of the Mahavir Mandir Trust of Patna. This trust runs several hospitals in Bihar.

IPS Kishore Kunal suffered a heart attack early today and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he died at around 8 am. At that time his son Sayan Kunal and daughter-in-law Shambhavi Chaudhary (MP from Samastipur) were present in the hospital.

Later, the body of Acharya Kishore Kunal was taken to his residence at Gusain Tola in Patna. A large number of people gathered here to pay tribute to the former police officer. Shambhavi’s father Ashok Chaudhary and many ministers of the Bihar government also reached his residence to pay tribute.

According to Kunal’s family, his last rites will be performed on Monday at around 2 pm in his native village Hajipur in Vaishali district of Bihar .
