IPS Daljit Singh Chaudhary takes charge as SSB chief

Director General of SSB, IPS Anish Dayal Singh performed the ceremony of handing over the baton of SSB Chief to Daljit Singh Chaudhary.
Senior Indian Police Service officer Daljit Singh Chaudhary took charge as Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB ) today here in New Delhi. IPS officer Anish Dayal Singh, who has been holding this post till now, performed the ceremony of handing over the baton of SSB chief to Daljit Singh at the headquarters.

 Daljit Singh Chaudhary is a 1990 batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre and has been decorated many times for his bravery.

IPS Daljit Chaudhary was posted as Special Director General in the Central Reserve Police Force. As soon as he took charge as the head of SSB, Daljit Chaudhary reached the National Police Memorial in Delhi today (January 23, 2024) and laid a wreath on the stone in memory of the martyred policemen.

Originally a resident of Delhi, IPS Daljit Chaudhary  being an officer of UP cadre, worked on many important positions in Uttar Pradesh Police. During his tenure ,  Daljit Singh Chaudhary has served as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in major districts of Uttar Pradesh like Rampur, Muzaffar Nagar, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Mathura, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi.He has also  served as  Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

Daljit Chaudhary has also served as  Additional Director General in Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and in CRPF too.

IPS Daljit Singh Chaudhary was awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry in the year 2005, Police Medal for Gallantry 1st BAR in the year 2006, Police Medal for Gallantry ‘2nd BAR’ in the year 2007 as well as Police Medal for Gallantry 3rd BAR.
