“I am fed up with this cruel system. I am very scared ….where should I go? Should I die or kill myself? ” felt dejected by own department, Constable Faiza Nawaz raised these questions in a video. Faiza, a woman constable from Pakistan’s Punjab province has resigned on Sunday and said that she cannot face the powerful corrupt mafia.
This episode is related to an incident happened in Ferozewala area of Sheikhupura on thursday. An advocate, named Ahmad Mukhtar had misbehaved and slapped constable Faiza Nawaz she objected on wrong parking by him. There was some altercation, as she cautioned him, advocate Ahmed Mukhtar slapped her. FIR was registered on the complaint made by Constable Faiza which resulted the arrest of accused advocate.
Saturday was another shocking day for Constable Faiza Nawaz and that was release of Advocate. A judicial magistrate released the accused Ahmed Mukhtar on the ground that name of the accused is incorrect in FIR. Instead of Ahmed Mukhtar, name of the accused was mentioned as Ahmed Iftikhar in FIR .
In her video message Faiza Nawaz has alleged that people in her own department were abetting the lawyer and hence he is released on bail. ” I joined the police department proudly for helping people but I could not see justice is being done to me. ” She alleged that some lawyers has done her character assassination where as she was only performing her duty.
Constable Faiza also expressed her helplessness in the video and also demanded that Arif Alvi, President of Pakistan and Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa to take cognizance of the incident.
