Another corona warrior Karambeer Singh , a Delhi Police Sub Inspector, died due to coronavirus infection on Tuesday. This is the fourth such death in force during COVID 19 pandemic crisis. Around 450 policemen are affected due to coronavirus infection and many of them are still quarantined.
Karambeer Singh was admitted to Army Base Hospital. He was a diabetic patient and was on ventilator support for the last 5 days. Posted as driver with Assistant Commissioner of Police in Seelampur, SI Karambeer Singh was 59 year old. He breathed last today morning. Police said that he lost life fighting with ailments related to Covid-19.
SI Karambeer was admitted with symptoms of corona on June 2nd at Army Base Hospital, the day when he was tested positive for covid 19 infection. He is survived by his wife who is 55 years old , , 23 years old daughter and 26 years old son, who is working with Indian Railways in Mumbai. The family is residing at Brijpuri area of Gokalpuri in eastern part of Delhi.
COVID 19 infection in Police :
The situation due to coronavirus infection in the National Capital is getting worse day by day. Delhi Police is trying hard to ensure implementation of lockdown rules and regulation as a frontline warrior. Around 450 were found to be infected with the novel coronavirus. Around 50 percent have successfully recovered and joined thier positions as well. Infected personnel included more than half a dozen SHOs.Event two IPS officers were also found infected. So far police have conducted approximately 1500 COVID 19 tests.
