Additional Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB ) B. Radhika met a group of students , who arrived in Delhi from Jammu & Kashmir for “Educational Excursion cum Study Tour”. Students were enthusiastic and shared their experience with her. Tour is a part of the Ministry of Home Affairs’s Civic Action Programme and Govt of India’s “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” campaign.
According to a press release , these young boys hailing from Jammu and Kashmir shared their wonderful experiences of the Educational Excursion cum Study Tour to various places of historical interest. Stressing on the importance of National integration and Nation building Additional Director General of SSB wished them good luck for all their future endeavours.
This Educational Excursion cum Study Tour was organized by 14th Batallion of SSB which is based in Nagam area of Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 30 members participated in the study tour out of which most of them are in the age group of 14to 22 years. They visited Bhojtal, Taj-UI-Masjid, State Museum, Tribal Museum, Bharat Bhawan, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Shaurya Smarak. in Bhopal .
A visit to Raj Bhavan and meeting with Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai C. Patel was also organized for the students. Students also visited SSB’s academy in Bhopal and interacted with the director of the academy. They also participated in various physical activities like obstacle crossing, Tug of War Horse Riding etc at the academy. In Delhi they will be visiting India Gate, National War Memorial, Lotus Temple, National Science Centre etc.
According to a press release , SSB is regularly organizing such programs for youth so that they know about the social, political and cultural aspects of the different regions of the country and strengthen the idea of unity in diversity of the Nation. By organizing these programs SSB has provided positive energy to the rural youth, saved them from turning towards other negative activities and played an important role in connecting them with the mainstream of the nation.
