The Indian Army has honoured a sniffer dog Teena  for her exemplary service. Teena has expertise in detecting gunpowder apart from other materials including improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

The defence spokesperson said that Teena, a highly skilled expert in detecting explosives, was honoured by the General Officer Commanding of the Tiger Division, Major General Mukesh Bhanwala at the headquarters in Jammu on Wednesday.

The spokesperson said that Teena’s remarkable career is marked by her unwavering dedication and expertise in detecting explosives. Teena has been posted in Jammu and Kashmir for over two years and has participated in several important engagements and operations, providing vital support to the security forces.

The spokesperson said that Teena has left behind a legacy of bravery, loyalty and selflessness.

“Teena’s contribution to the security forces will never be forgotten and she will always be remembered as a hero and loyal companion,” he said.
