The euphoria of New Year celebrations is over and now India is preparing for another big celebration. This celebration is the Republic Day Parade and the Beating Retreat ceremony held during January. The Ministry of Defence of the Government of India has announced the sale of tickets for Republic Day 2025 programs. Ticket sales will be between 2 and 11 January.
This time India is celebrating the 75th Republic Day. Citizens can participate in various ceremonies including the parade (republic day parade 2025) to be held on 26 January 2025 on the Kartavyapath by purchasing tickets. Apart from online, these tickets can also be purchased from the counters announced by the Ministry of Defence, which cost Rs 20 and Rs 100.
Apart from the main parade, tickets for the full dress rehearsal of Beating Retreat are also available for sale. It costs Rs 20.
The Republic Day Parade was organized for the first time on 26 January 1950. Since then the parade is held every year on this date. The Ministry of Defence organizes the Republic Day Parade and related ceremonies in which India displays its military power and defence capability. The parade starts from Rashtrapati Bhavan and goes through various roads of Delhi via the Kartavyapath. (formerly Rajpath) and concludes at the Red Fort.

From time to time, the methods of organizing the Republic Day parade and celebrations have changed. In the last few years, the route of the parade has been changed and shortened. Despite all this, it is considered the largest such event in any country in the world.
