India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh worshipped the weapons of the Indian Army as per tradition on the occasion of Vijayadashami. He addressed the soldiers on this occasion.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, on the occasion of Dussehra, a festival symbolizing the victory of good over evil, reached Sukna Military Station in West Bengal to meet the soldiers. He performed the traditional Shastra Puja ( worshipping weapons ) here, in which respect was expressed towards the weapons by the Indian Army as the protector of national sovereignty.
On this occasion, he said, “We fight for integrity, sovereignty and human values, not for hatred or contempt” –
Indian Army’s Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and many senior army officers also participated in the Shastra Puja program.
