Indian Army’s museum Gul-A-Seum in Gulmarg is a new attraction for tourists

Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar inaugurated the Army Museum 'Gul-e-Seum' in Gulmarg on Saturday.

Another  attraction has been added in the itenary of tourists visiting  Jammu and Kashmir and specially for those who also want to visit Gulmarg. The Indian Army has built a magnificent museum in the ski resort here. This museum of Gulmarg displays the rich cultural heritage of the state and also displays the contribution of the Indian Army in provincial security and development.

Indian Army’s  Northern Command Chief  Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar inaugurated the Gulmarg Army Museum ‘Gul-A-Seum’ on Saturday.

Providing the information, the army spokesperson in Srinagar said in a statement that the museum is an initiative to highlight the rich history and heritage of Kashmir as well as the role of the Indian Army in enhancing the security and development of the Kashmir Valley.

Chinar Corps Commander and other dignitaries were also present during the inauguration of the museum. .

The museum was conceived and built by the Indian Army’s Dagger Division and Himalayan Brigade. The spokesperson said that the Army Museum displays the valor, sacrifice and enduring spirit of the Indian Armed Forces towards nation building.

He claimed that this museum, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, is dedicated to showcasing the important role of the army in various wartime efforts, its contribution to national development and the rich cultural fabric of Jammu and Kashmir.

The spokesperson said that the museum will add another colorful feather to the beauty of Gulmarg and provide an opportunity to the tourists visiting the resort that will help them learn about the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir.

The museum has an extensive collection of artifacts, documents and interactive exhibits. Visitors here can explore the cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir through these. They will also get information about the unique traditions of the region, art and milestone events in history as well as the involvement of the army in the region for nation building.

The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps Commander and other dignitaries were also present during the inauguration program of the Army Museum in Gulmarg.
