Letter written by a student Rayan to the army and the reply given by the army.

A letter written by a school student praising the soldiers for the rescue mission in landslide-affected Wayanad of Kerala touched the heart of the Indian Army. After this, a heartfelt reply came from the army on social media.

In fact, recently the Southern Command of the Indian Army has shared the letter of the child and his response on its official X handle. Rayan, a class 3 student of AMLP School in Wayanad, had written this letter in his school diary. He said that he felt “proud and happy” to see soldiers rescuing people from under the debris.

I am Rayan. A massive landslide in my beloved Wayanad has caused havoc and destruction. “I felt proud and happy to see you rescuing people trapped under the debris,” the child said in the letter written in Malayalam, addressed to the Army. Rayan cited a video in which soldiers were seen eating biscuits to satiate their hunger while building a bridge in the devastated area and said that the scene deeply affected him.

In the letter, Rayan also expressed his desire to join the Indian Army and protect the country one day. “That scene deeply effected me and I want to join the Indian Army and protect the country one day,” he wrote in the letter.

As the letter went viral on social media platforms, the Indian Army posted a reply to the student through its X handle on August 3. Calling the little boy a “warrior”, the Army said his “heartfelt words” had deeply affected them. The Army’s Southern Command wrote:

Dear Master Rayan, Your heartfelt words have deeply touched us. In times of adversity, we aim to be a beacon of hope, and your letter reaffirms this mission. Heroes like you inspire us to give our utmost. We eagerly await the day you don the uniform and stand alongside us. Together, we will make our nation proud. Thank you, young warrior, for your courage and inspiration. “ ആയിരം നന്ദി “
