IAF Chief AP Singh stressed on immediate operationalisation of new equipment

A two-day conference (6-7 December 2024) of the Commanders of the Western Air Command of the Indian Air Force was held in New Delhi. Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh was the chief guest at the conference. He was received by Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Western Air Command Air Marshal PM Sinha and was given a ceremonial guard of honour on his arrival.

During the conference, the Air Force Chief interacting with the commanders said that there is a need to enhance training to ensure the capability to fight and win multi-domain warfare. He emphasised on this year’s theme “Indian Air Force – Strong, Capable, Atmanirbhar” and called upon the collective capability, capacity and commitment of all commanders to take the IAF to even greater heights.

Chief of the Air Force Air Marshal AP Singh emphasised on the need for advancement in various areas including enhancing operational capabilities through improved training and planning, prompt operationalisation of newly inducted equipment, safety and security, and leadership development by empowering individuals at all levels to make them future-ready and a force to reckon with.

Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, in his address, praised the Western Command for being the first to be prepared for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief  ( HADR)  both in India and abroad, for being a ‘formidable fighting force’ in maintaining high operational excellence and for always upholding the Indian Air Force’s core values of ‘mission, integrity and excellence’ paramount.
