On the diversity reflected in the rally, Shri Modi said that the rally is strengthening the spirit of ‘one world, one family, one future’. He said that in 2014 there were cadets from 10 countries in this rally but today this number has increased to 24. Prime Minister Modi flagged off the Mega Cyclothon of NCC Girls and Nari Shakti Vandan Run (NSVR) from Jhansi to Delhi.
A cultural program was also organized on the theme ‘NCC of Amrit Kaal’ showcasing the contribution and empowerment of Amrit generation.It was first time in the history of NCC Rally that more than 400 sarpanches of border villages and more than 100 women associated with various self-help groups from different parts of the country also participated.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, NCC Director General Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, Union Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt, Chief of Defence Staff Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pandey, Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary, Indian Navy Chief Admiral R Hari. Kumar and Defence Secretary Giridhar Armane were present on the occasion.
