India’s Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande commended and felicitated a soldier for saving a human life. Sepoy Navaneetha Krishnan D jumped into fast flowing water to save a drowning girl.
Incident happened near Patiala in Punjab on June 16 when the Sepoy Navaneetha Krishnan D , posted in Army Medical Core , was passing through the area. As soon as he came to know about a teenage girl who had fallen into the canal , Navaneetha Krishnan jumped into the fast flowing Bhakra canal. Sepoy rescued the drowning girl and saved her life.

Sepoy Navaneetha Krishnan D got commendation and felicitation from Army Chief General Pande , for his gallant and selfless humane act of saving the life of a girl , today in New Delhi.
