Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik, along with senior officers and men practiced several Yogasanas and Pranayaams here in New Delhi. Around 3,000 personnel including 500 YUVA trainees participated in this mega event, organised at Thyagraj Stadium on the occasion of 5th International Yoga Day. Besides this, yoga sessions were also organized in all the Districts and Units of Delhi Police.
Sh Patnaik underlined the importance of Yoga and meditation as helpful techniques in dealing with fast paced life of a cosmopolitan city like Delhi. Delhi Police Commissioner encouraged all to make Yoga an integral part of their day to day life to make lives stress-free and to attain healthy body and mind.
Yoga at CBI Headquarters:
Rishi Kumar Shukla, Director of Central Bureau of Investigation and many other officers celebrated the 5th International Yoga Day with a yoga demonstration at CBI Headquarters in New Delhi and its Branches across India. Shri Shukla led the Yoga Day activities at New Delhi.
According to a press release, senior officers and more than four hundred other officials participated in the event at the CBI Headquarters. Yogasanas session was conducted by a Yoga teacher and her team.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Sh Shukla thanked the Yoga teacher and her team for conducting the Yoga Session and said this will help yoga become a way of living for all CBI officials. He hoped that the Session would imbibe the health benefits of yoga amongst all officers and officials of CBI.
